Our approach

you know yourself. and yet something keeps getting in the way

Maybe you've been in therapy before. Maybe it helped — for a while, for that specific situation. But you've noticed that the same patterns keep returning. The same dynamics in relationships. The same inner critic. The same ceiling you keep bumping up against, no matter how much you understand about yourself intellectually.

And underneath all of it — the low motivation, the overwhelm, the sense of being stuck in a life that looks fine from the outside — there's usually something quieter. A weight you can't quite name. A version of yourself you remember, or sense, is possible, but can't seem to reach. That feeling isn't weakness, and it isn't permanent. It's often a signal that something at the root hasn't been seen yet — not the symptoms, but what's underneath them. The patterns. The old attachments. The parts of you that learned to cope in ways that once made sense, but no longer serve who you're trying to become. That's where our work begins.

Our approach is trauma-informed, somatic, holistic, and eclectic — which means we don't force you into a framework. We build the process around you: your nervous system, your history, your goals, and the version of yourself you're working toward. Whether you're finding your way back to who you were, or stepping into someone you've never quite let yourself be — this is where that work happens.

questions people ask before they reach out

  • Yes — and honestly, this is who we work with most. Many of our clients have had therapy that helped with the specific situation but didn't really touch what was underneath. Our work goes to the root: the attachment patterns, the intrapersonal dynamics, the parts of you that have shaped your responses long before you were aware of them. When those are understood — really understood — the patterns shift in a way that lasts.

  • Not at all. Many of our clients are functioning well on the outside — but they've hit a plateau, lost their sense of momentum, or feel like they're living slightly out of alignment with who they actually are. You don't need to be falling apart to deserve deeper support. Feeling stuck, disconnected, or like something is quietly off is more than enough reason to reach out.

  • We're eclectic, somatic, and depth-oriented — which means we don't follow a single protocol or framework. We build the approach around you: your nervous system, your history, and the specific roots of what's keeping you stuck. We integrate body-based work, psychodynamic understanding, evidence-based techniques like CBT and EMDR, and holistic practices — not because it sounds comprehensive, but because lasting change usually requires more than one lens.

  • You can browse our therapist profiles and book directly with whoever feels right — or take our 2-minute therapist match quiz and we'll suggest the best fit based on your needs, goals, location, and schedule. Either way, every new client starts with a free 15-minute consultation, so there's no pressure to commit before you've had a chance to feel it out.

  • Yes — we work with most major providers including Sun Life, Alberta Blue Cross, Medavie, and Green Shield. We direct-bill when we can, and provide detailed receipts you can submit for reimbursement, in case your prefer that route. If you're not sure whether you're covered, visit our Insurance page or reach out and we'll help you figure it out before your first session.

  • It's a relaxed conversation — no intake forms, no assessments, no pressure. You'll share a little about what's been coming up for you, ask whatever's on your mind, and we'll talk through which therapist and approach would be the best fit. Most people tell us it felt easier than they expected. There's no obligation to book a full session afterward.

If something on this page resonated — even a little — that's worth paying attention to.

You don't need to be in crisis.

You just need to be ready to understand yourself a little more honestly than you have before.

Our free 15-minute consultation is a no-pressure conversation. You'll share what's been coming up for you, ask whatever's on your mind, and we'll help match you with the therapist whose approach and availability fit best.
